2026 GLOBAL YOUTH CLIMATE SUMMIT

2026 Right Here, Right Now Global Youth Climate Summit

On World Environment Day 2026, thousands of young people, educators, researchers, and climate leaders from 119 countries came together for the Right Here, Right Now Global Youth Climate Summit, a 24-hour global gathering hosted by UN Human Rights and the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, in partnership with the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Alliance. Spanning every region of the world, the Summit convened more than 80 speakers across 48 sessions to explore the intersection of climate change, human rights, technology, policy, finance, law, and innovation. Together, participants examined how the world can accelerate climate solutions while ensuring a just transition that protects the rights and dignity of all people.

The Summit demonstrated the extraordinary scale and momentum of a generation determined not merely to inherit the future, but to shape it. From youth activists and student innovators to leading academics, policymakers, and practitioners, participants shared ideas, solutions, and a common conviction that climate justice and human rights are inseparable. Supported by a global network of universities and international organizations, the Summit reaffirmed the Right Here, Right Now mission: to empower young people everywhere to lead the transition to a more just, sustainable, and equitable world.
