OneOf, the Green NFT platform built for the music community backed by music legend Quincy Jones, was selected as the preferred NFT partner of the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Alliance. Each artist that partners with the OneOf Green NFT platform has the option to design one or more NFTs to directly benefit Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Alliance and its partner United Nations Human Rights.
"Building environmentally sustainable technology is a fundamental pillar of the OneOf company ethos. We’re thrilled to be selected as the preferred partner of the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Alliance,” said Lin Dai, CEO and Co Founder of OneOf, “built on the Tezos blockchain, OneOf technology uses over 2 million times less energy than Ethereum. Minting an NFT on OneOf takes the energy equivalent of sending out a tweet, compared to a devastatingly wasteful use of 3.6 days of average household electricity on most platforms built on Ethereum.”
The Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Alliance was selected as the charitable beneficiary of the 2021 iHeart Music Festival in Las Vegas, which featured artists Billie Eilish, Coldplay, Maroon 5 and Olivia Rodrigo, among others.
The September 14th drop of limited-edition NFT’s created by renowned artist Cory Van Lew immediately sold out. 100% of the net proceeds benefited Right Here, Right Now’s global partner United Nations Human Rights.
